Pixelhobby is a new decorative technique that allows you to create real mosaics thanks to plastic plates. <\/span>You can create personalized projects such as photographs or ready-to-assemble kits. The Pixelhobby drawings are formed by inserting on a base plate small plastic moasics called “Pixel”. <\/span>The Pixelhobby plate is a transparent plastic base were the Pixels are fixed. There is n<\/span>o need of glue for the Pixels, as these plates are made of pegs, on which the pixels are inserted. <\/span>Connecting multiple base plates allows you to compose a drawing or photo in a larger format.<\/span><\/p>\n [vc_single_image image=”12726″ img_size=”750×450″ alignment=”center”]Pixel mosaics Pixels are available in two sizes: Pixel Standard and Pixel XL. Pixels of the same color are sold on a square base, which includes 140 single Pixels. On the back side of each Pixel square you can see the color code. When assembling a Pixelhobby project each<\/span> Pixel is first removed from a the square base by using a tweezers and then applied to the plastic plate in the correct position. <\/span>The best tweezers to use are those that have a tight, robust tip.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n [vc_single_image image=”11306″ img_size=”650×433″ alignment=”center”]Base plate The Pixelhobby Plate is a transparent plastic base that contains the Pixels of a Design. <\/span>There is no need of glue to attach the Pixels, as these plates are made up of pegs, were the Pixels are inserted and remain firmly attached. <\/span>The connection of several base plates together allows you to compose a picture in a larger format. – Standard size, 10×12 cm: These base plates can be joined together and are therefore also the basis for larger images To create a Pixelhobby image you need to disconnect every Pixel from its square base and attach it on the transparent base plate. <\/span>Understanding which Pixel goes on which pin is very simple, thanks to the design sheets or schemes. <\/span>For small base plates (keychain medals and square 6×6 cm) usually the range of colors used is limited so you can work by looking at simple schemes. \n<\/span>Standard Pixels are smaller and available in over 300 colors, while Pixels XL are larger and available in a more limited range of colors.<\/span><\/span>[vc_single_image image=”11303″ img_size=”650×433″ alignment=”center”]<\/p>\n

\n<\/span>There are 3 basic plate sizes:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>– Small size, 6×6 cm

\n<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n<\/span>For larger images, instead, the range of colors used is very wide and it would be difficult to distinguish between all colors by looking at only one scheme. <\/span>So for these projects there are different schemes that indicate the color code and position of each Pixel. <\/span>Just lay the base plate above the scheme to see where to attack the Pixels. <\/span>Each rectangle on the scheme has a legend with 4 colors and once you finish with the 4 colors you need to go to the next scheme and fix the next 4 colors. Repeat this<\/span> until the base plate is completely filled.
\n<\/span>To finish one big base plate u<\/span>sually takes from 4 to 7 hours. <\/span>If more people are involved in the project, each person can work on a separate base plate. <\/span>This makes the PixelHobby technique a great family or group project. <\/span>After all the base plates have been completed, you can assemble the drawing by connecting all the base plates together, using the plate fittings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
